CAS Alumni Fellowship
CAS aims to support researchers who have previously led projects at the centre by helping them further develop their ideas and projects.
We recognise that many new questions, concepts, and research directions may emerge after the initial project period has expired. To foster continuity and exploration, the Alumni Fellowship is designed to provide our alumni with the opportunity to pursue these new avenues, reunite the core group from the project or organise dissemination events.
Up to six Alumni Fellowships are awarded per year, each with a maximum grant of NOK 150,000. The funds must be used within a two-year period.
Who may apply?
Researchers who have previously led projects at CAS can apply for the CAS Alumni fellowship. You do not currently have to be employed at one of our partner institutions to apply for the fellowship.
What does the funding cover?
The funding is intended to build upon the project at CAS with a view to launching new, major projects. The funding can be used to reunite group members from the CAS project, build networks, write grant applications, and organise workshops and conferences.
If you wish to host events, at least one of these should be held at your home institution. If you are not associated with a you have the option to use the CAS conference facilities (the Turret room) if space permits.
Application process
The call for the CAS Alumni Fellowship is announced each autumn. Eligible alumni are contacted directly when the call is announced.
